Happy New Year!

It’s the 2nd January as I write and I’m contemplating taking down the Christmas tree and looking forward to this week, this month and what the year will bring. New Year is something we’ve made up; we could pick any day to celebrate change. However, it’s a fabulous chance to think about what we want for ourselves and others.

My writing goals are simple: over the next few months, I’ll be finishing “Stuck in Your World” and getting it out there for you to read. I’m excited to bring you the continuing adventures of Sketch and her friends, and she’s busting for you to know what she’s been up to.

In the meantime, here’s something I’ve read over the holidays which moved me, made me think and is an extraordinary example of the power of storytelling.

One Hundred Nights of Hero

One Hundred Nights of Hero by Isabel Greenberg is a graphic novel I’ve wanted to read for ages.  A kind relative plucked it from my Christmas wishlist, and I spent a lovely evening snuggled up with a cup of tea, losing myself in its stories and beautiful illustrations. This celebrates the power of words, fighting injustice and the strength of women. It’s a 5 star from me!

I hope 2018 brings you what you wish, what you need and hours of happy reading.
